All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
This comes from a ticket issued https://support.syniti.com/hc/en-us/requests/21228 in which we ran a manual data services job to sync a table from a target source which contained no rows because it was emptied at the origin
The data services job ran fine, but the metrics indicated this table used to have data and marked as failed.
The idea is to allow the user to decide if the result will be the same as the DS job or compare it to whatever there is in metrics, as in this case we do want to sync an empty table on purpose which is not an error
