All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
On the Target sources page vertical view, the help for the field Package Name should describe the naming convention expected.

Nothing was appearing in the pull down and I need to know how to name the package properly.
I dug into the technical documentation and found that the format should be:
PackageName LIKE N'#Database#%#Source#%'
Please update the help to reflect the expected name of the package.
There should also be help on the Packages page which describes the naming convention.
