All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
The current DSP design of Assemble, the segmentation feature can only be applied to a column that is in the package ' Mappings' and it creates an issue when you exclude that column in output.
The example column that we are using on this project is being used to grouping the load files into a certain number of rows in a single file and we don't want to display this column in the load file/output.
According to BOA Support, there was similar issue being reported to them with ticket #1534 and a development ticket (DSP-8160) being submitted in the past.

Will be added to the backlog of tickets for development. Agree with the use case and can see already a number of support cases from various clients associated to this.
