All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
Most of the time when we are building transformation we will record the process/ steps to execute a different process in the object level/target level. Generally, we used to document in word and we will follow the step to execute the process.
I think we can provide a static page link where object owner can maintain the documentation how to run the Process and brief description about the steps followed.
This can be done where ever we have the process execution provision.

We can look to add the external document reference field to both the object and target level object in Transform as it is already present on the target rules and reports.
Could you confirm whether you think this documentation link is better placed at the Object or Target level within Transform and also do you require a physical upload of the document or just the ability to insert a hyperlink to link to the relevant documentation?
