Automation to include validation reports based on SPRO configuration and MRP profiles

For SAP migrations, we are auto creating "some" validation rules but not he ones that check SPRO values for Mandatory, optional and suppressed field usage by (for example) Customer and Vendor account group and Material group as well as validating against MRP profiles

    This would definitely be an excellent feature and is already on my radar as a future enhancement to system types.  This would allow it to be used on both migration and governance projects.

    Integration with SPRO for things such as required field status is complex and limited to certain data objects. The concept is great, but from experience this is not a silver bullet. For example, SPRO may suggest that a field is optional, however, it's actually business required. The VAL_FIELDSTATUS function actually uses the ADM Target Design Required field in conjunction with Field Groups -> it does not use SPRO.

    It appears that EUAF also has this function, from Developer's handbook (Andy Lund)

    • VAL_FIELDSTAUS function. This function uses the data design to determine whether a field should be populated or not for a specific Account Group / Material Type.

    This functionality would save a considerable amount of time not only on the front end of a project but also by avoiding needless defects.
