All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
Hi,
When I used DSP integrate for the first time, I was surprised to see that we can't send idocs to SAP using integrate. Almost all other ETL tools ( be it Informatica, IBM data-stage or SAP BODS) have that capability and they have developed their own adapters to support sending IDOC to SAP.
Can we not develop the same kind of adapter to be able to send idocs to SAP?
SAP best practices always ask to use idoc for some of the complicated objects and for any upgrade like S/4HANA, they first update the IDOCs and corresponding inbound function modules before making updates on other kind of data load programs
Would you please check if this is possible.

Using the DSP, if you want to post via Integrate and use an iDOC you will need to use a Data Services Job. The DSP is not an ETL tool but an orchestration layer that can sit on top of ETL tools. We have the ability to orchestrate and integrate the processing of DS jobs. We are more likely to create capabilities to call Datastage and informatica jobs before doing this on our own.
