Currently we have a page with 150k records on the horizontal. When you try to upload an excel file using the excel integration, even a small one, it shows a progress up to some point then just stops (but still displays the file upload dialog).
Looking in the log tables, it says "Thread was being aborted"
Looking at the windows event logs, it says there was a request time out.
Can we get a nice error message when this happens instead of the end user just seeing nothing? Just an error saying the timeout setting has been reached would be great.
Thanks!
This seems to be more of a bug and not an Idea for a new feature. Did you open a support ticket and get directed here? Also the Excel Integration is not in dspMigrate but part of the DSP platform.
This will be handled via support.
Hi Eric,
The Smithfield Template Migration project is also experiencing pain from this defect. To your knowledge, has a Development Ticket been opened for this? I can't view your Support Tickets to investigate this on my own.
On a similar note, is there an open Ticket for the underlying issue of the actual TimeOut? Again, just to your knowledge, I'm not asking you to research that question. It's unfortunate that we can't search Support Tickets reported by others.
Thanks,
Tracey
Yes I did (open a support ticket and got pointed here). Support ticket 6773 if that helps.
