Feature Request: Transform - When Editing Vertical if mouse click outside of vertical edit is lost

When Editing Vertical if mouse click outside of vertical the edit is lost without a "do you want to Save" Validation

 

This one gets me all too often because I have a sensitive touch pad and which causes be to loose focus with my cursor all the time.

    As of at least 6.6.1 an alert is no produced stating "This action may result in losing unsaved changes. Would you like to continue?" This is perfectly acceptable but if its not to hard we could add to option to save or abandon.
