All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
In order to gain and measure a greater business understanding of the data that is catalogued in the organization I need the ability to know what objects and attributes my business understands and accepts, what objects and attributes the do not yet formally understand and what objects and attributes where the definition is the most contentious.
This allows my data scientists and analysts that are working with the data to trust that data slightly more than other datasets of similar content so that when choosing to analyze that data they have greater confidence in it.
This measurement of business understanding also gives the program a metric to track progress, a goal to achieve, a way to add more value, and a method to compare their programs and process verticals to that of their peers.
