When creating sources for targets, there are various reasons a source is set up.  This is defined in the description of the source.  For instance, My collect Master data in one source and transaction data in another.

This distinction is only available in the description, so it should therefore be displayed on the horizontal view.

Business reason - This helps document the process and prevent mistakes of registering tables in the incorrect source.
