I had a zendesk ticket opened for this(1622), which resulted in Development ticket DSP-6667.

When the Total feature is used on a page, if there are more than 10 rows on a page the Total drops down to the bottom of the page instead of the bottom of the Rows. This is confusing to users and can change page to page or execution to execution. I think this solution makes sense for higher numbers of rows, but 10 is too small.
