Datasource encryption should validate if values are encrypted or not

If a field in a datasource table is set to encrypted, then we need to indicate if in fact the values in the field are encrypted or not. A user with database access could update an encrypted value to a decrypted value. A validation on the encryption page and a service page that sends a workflow when decrypted values exists for fields marked as encrypted could be a potential solution. This can happen when clients perform copyback processes where security keys differ between systems.

    Thanks for raising this idea Dallas, however, I believe that the featire you are requesting already exists. System Administration Service Page 'DataSourceTableColumnEncryption Workflow' sends an email to users in Systen Admin WebApp Groups 'Administrator', 'Security' or 'Data Source' in the event that a column that should be encrypted has data that is not encrypted. Please let me know if this does not address your request.
