All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
It would be good to have the ability to add filters in the WHERE clause for tables being imported into Collect via an RFC package. Some tables are really large (for eg. Long Text) and adding in a filter would help to reduce the download time and only import required data vs the whole table.

Can you please clarify what you mean by filters? Where clauses on BOA RFC and SAP DS RFC package types in Collect are already supported in the later versions of the product and allow for filtering to be be applied. Using in conjunction with the table rename capability you can break the extracts down into separate extractions for performance reasons
