When using the Map Source Profile Table Field (Results) page to identify fields that should be considered for mapping, it would be helpful to have the description of the field (if available). This would help the consultants in communicating with the business users since most businesses will know the fields or data by field descriptions instead of the technical names.
I usually get to the profile steps via the Map - Source vertical view, so I would assume the description could come from the source system type.
If its a common table (e.g. KNA1) then the descriptions in should be standard(ish), if the table or field is not common then don't put a description in there.

Hello Eric - from where would you get the description? A System Type? The results page is in the Common WebApp. From here, all Data Sources can be profiled. It's only on the Source Databases that a System Type can be assigned and even then, this assignment has no functional relevance with regarding to field mapping. The important System Type for mapping is the one assign to Target Source in Design.
