Product option to read and collect data via SAP Core Data Service

To whom may be concerned,

May we develop an option to collect data on data view of SAP S/4HANA via SAP Data Service?

Noting that reading and collecting data from a SAP view is not supported in current version of DSP.

This option is exceptionally handy in reading view like BSIK (i.e. vendor open items), BSIS (i.e. GL open items), BSID (i.e. customer open items); which are now listed as data views in S/4 HANA instead of tables in ECC.

    Agree with Jake here the capability is already present in the application via Manual DS package registration.  We will not be further enhancing this functionality at the present time.

    I think we can do this already, you may have to do a manual Cranport or manual DS job to do it but it is achievable.  Also to note, we "prefer" to not pull data directly from a view but to recreate the definition of the view in the related SDB/DG database as we are likely already pulling the data for the related tables.

    My recommendation would be to pull the underlying tables and recreate the view instead of adding this programmatic functionality back into the product.
