All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
We have a number of old data source configurations in collect using SDS repos. These are no longer used, but if we delete the Repos we can not use ADM as the verification gives us Errors saying the DB is missing.
This error occurs when validating Transforms in Waves and object that are totally unrelated to the old Repos. It also occurs when running collects. Clearly, its a system wide verification that is checking everything when it could be more targeted. This is not a show stopper as we can leave the repos in place - but it is messy. Interestingly, in some tiers we can rename the database to something like z_NotInUse_... and the rename doesn't cause an error, so clearly SQL is updating the where used cross references in the stored procedures, but in QA, if we rename, then the database is flagged as missing.
