All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
We just had an issue where our DSW_%Filepaths were not set for the application. We missed the steps in the install instructions but there was no check during the install to confirm they were set up. This caused us to get errors that did not make sense when launching Transform.
I would like to propose that by default folders are created in the DSP root directory and the paths are stored in the datasources rather than left blank. If the datasources are going to be created by default it is not much additional setup to include the folders and path details.
Business rationale is that this will make the install process simpler and reduce the number of tickets sent to the support team.
