All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
Currently I spend a lot of time tracking down missing data in collected tables, often this is attributable to the datatype conversion being set as ignore. There is not notification that a column is ignored. On a single table build I would recommend a notification of ignored columns and in both single and multi table builds I suggest we log ignored columns so the user can review as part of the standard process. we may also need to add this to our auditing data. Silently lost data is never a good thing. We always need to when, where, and why we are losing data.
