The record count which can currently be found 3 records below the last record in an generated xlsx report should either be optional via global report parameter or removed completely.
its existence if of fairly little value and it causes issues when sorting by or filtering on the first column of the report in excel as excel sees the record count line and the two blank lines above it as part of the active record set.
I probably spend a cumulative hour fussing with filters and after sorting my spreadsheets when building the presentation at each audit. That's a very precious hour.
