Hi Ben,
could you please create a development request for the missing Assemble type conversions?
We can continue work by using Cranport packages – but we will come into another project phase with new design requirements in May. This is not so much related to Collect but we use Assemble in Transform and we have to use manual Cranport, there.
See attached mail regarding the data types that we need to be covered at SwissRe – i.e. that we would need converted in Assemble.

No, he hasn’t responded to me.
He cared about getting Cranport and System Types correct – in order to get us o.k. at SwissRe.
He was not so much concerned about the manual Cranport because this was not an immediate no go. I understood that he expected me having raised this (a feature / development ticket) at zendesk.

we won’t be able to upgrade patch the SwissRe installation for getting manual Cranport correctly working with ODBC HANA.
I thought there would be a script that provides the missing data type conversion settings for HANA that we can apply on the 6.5.6 system.

It is a bug! Manual Cranport creates wrong output column typing when using ODBC for HANA.

I’m sure you are right from the Developers Team perspective.
From a service delivery point of view we can see that source type ‘HANA’ exists on DSP already – that’s what I used as filter condition in the screenshot at the beginning of that ticket. The data type conversions are missing for source type ‘HANA’. Is this s.th. we can raise to product group (i.e. JP) to get an opinion on that?

Hello Arthur,It doesn't really matter whether it's a feature request or a bug *except* that the support team is required to follow a different process for feature requests vs. bugs. From your perspective, the result is the same.I have already asked JP Grippa to chime in on this.C.

JP: After chatting with Ben, I realize the problem is opposite of what I was thinking. It looks like they need a new system added to Assemble Conversion table, not Collect. That being the case, it should be a feature request to add Hana System Conversions to Assemble and to maybe open the configuration table to allow Adding or new conversions and updating of non-delivered conversions.
