All ideas are welcome. Just because the Idea doesn't make it into the product immediately does not make it a bad idea.
Trace is a great feature as part of dsp. The problem is in how we access it. If I am in dspMigrate and want to go look at the history of a rule it will take me 6 clicks to get to Trace and focus on the rule I want to see. Then multiple clicks back to where I was originally.
A better way would be to have a button at the bottom of the vertical view when one clicks on the rule name in dsp and is shown the actual SQL. A history button at the bottom there could be used to drill into all that information. This avoids all the clicks and wasted time.
To take it even further there could be buttons next to each entry for the rule that automate a restore to a previous version of the rule.
