Dynamic Help Text Displayed as Note in Excel rather than in Cell

Is there any way to add to the catalog information that could be auto-populated in the note box as shown below?

This is a requirement at Smithfield that we are trying to solve.

We would like to populate the Dynamic help so that it shows in the lower left hand side in dsp but then shows as a note box in the excel sheets much like you already have if the field is required (which frankly is redundant since you are already coloring the columns to show required).

To summarize- for our client, the help text needs to be a note rather than populated into row 4 the way it currently is.

    Admin response

This request should be a small technical change.  We will look to keep the comment (Required field) on the first row of the Excel sheet, and look to move row number 3/4 depending on whether data type is included and move this help text to a comment on row number 2 the description row.  I will move this to a feature request and review current priorities to align to a DSP release.

Agreed. This should be a "just do it" enhancement and not overly complex an implementation to crank out.

I agree that using an Excel Comment is a much cleaner solution.

We have utilized the 'Row 4' Help Text option and it takes up a considerable amount of real estate on the worksheet. In addition, each Column width must be manually adjusted each time the file is downloaded. Without that manual sizing, the content is not readable.
